Malaysian Volunteerism Workshop (Advanced Level)

This workshop aims to provide participants with an understanding of:

  • Skills for managing a volunteer organisation;
  • Applying theories learned at the basic, intermediate, and advanced levels;
  • Developing knowledgeable and skilled volunteers in volunteer work.

Prerequisite : Must have attended the Malaysian Volunteerism Workshop (Intermediate Level)

Malaysian Volunteerism Workshop (Intermediate Level)

This workshop aims to equip participants with:

  • Knowledge and skills in leadership and management within community-level volunteer organisations;
  • The ability to build networks among community-level volunteer leaders; and
  • Practical application of leadership and management knowledge and skills in community-level volunteerism.
     

Prerequisite: Must have attended the Malaysian Volunteerism Workshop (Basic Level)

Sukarelawan Jiwa Malaysia Workshop (Basic Level)

  • This workshop aims to identify the definition, goals, types, and benefits of volunteerism, understand the philosophy, principles, and basic skills of volunteerism, and demonstrate volunteerism skills.

Gender Sensitivity Course (Professional) Level 2

  • This course aims to enhance participants' gender sensitivity by examining selected issues through a gender framework, understanding broader and more complex gender discourses, developing specific skills to address gender-related challenges, and discussing strategies, actions, and steps forward to achieve the empowerment of women and girls as well as gender equality.

Gender Sensitivity Course (Professional) Level 1

  • This course aims to introduce the basic concepts and theories of gender, gender equality, and related concepts.

Gender Sensitivity Course (General)

  • This course is divided into two levels. The first level introduces participants to the concept of gender. The second level enhances knowledge and skills by applying a gender perspective to selected issues:
    • Cluster A: Gender and Social Well-Being
    • Cluster B: Gender and Economic Empowerment
    • Cluster C: Gender and Personal Skills
  • The course will be conducted through lectures, group discussions, and video/audio screenings.

Community Guidance Course

  • This course aims to enhance basic counseling knowledge to deliver professional and effective helping services while encouraging community involvement in the process of assisting others.
  • The course will be conducted through lectures, group exercises, video/audio screenings, quizzes, role plays or simulations, and flash cards.

 

Skills Enhancement Course for Caregivers

  • This course aims to provide basic caregiving training to caregivers in welfare institutions under the Department of Social Welfare (JKM), care centres managed by non-governmental organisations (NGOs), private care centres, Khidmat Bantu Di Rumah (KBDR) volunteers, and individuals caring for family members with health issues, including senior citizens, persons with disabilities (OKU), children, and bedridden patients.
  • The course will be conducted through lectures, discussions and presentations, video screenings, role plays or simulations, and practical field training.
