Introduction
The Social Consultation Development Cluster (KPRS) is responsible for organising various courses, workshops, and seminars in the fields of social and community development for public servants, private sector employees, non-governmental organisations, volunteers, the general public, and interested individuals.
In addition to organising various related courses and workshops, KPRS also hosts a range of seminars conducted online.
The Social Work Development Cluster (KPKS) functions to design and set the direction for competency development programs in the field of social work to enhance the knowledge and skills of officers and staff under the Ministry of Women, Family, and Community Development (KPWKM), social scheme officers from other relevant agencies/departments, as well as Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) in the field of social work.
In addition to implementing competency development training in social work, KPKS also organises professional certification programs, seminars, and conferences for knowledge enhancement, as well as consultations related to the training provided.
- Conducts research and develops course curricula related to social organization management and development;
- Identifies, promotes, and selects participants from among social practitioners.
- Plans and coordinates the implementation of training/courses related to self-development and the mindset of social practitioners.
- Monitors and evaluates the achievement of course objectives.
- Reviews and improves curriculum development, speakers, and course delivery.
- Serves as the secretariat for the ISM Academic and Curriculum Committee.
The Centre for Social Organization Development Studies is responsible for coordinating and implementing discourse programs, consultations, and establishing networks and collaborations with both local and international stakeholders. This ensures that training programs, research, publications, and strategic collaborations are effectively carried out, aligning with ISM's mission to be a center of excellence in social development in Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishing networks and collaborations at national and international levels.
- Coordinating ISM’s Strategic Plan and Direction.
- Managing matters related to parliamentary affairs.
- Overseeing the preparation and monitoring of ISM’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Coordinating the implementation of the Executive Talk ISM (Program Wacana Ilmu).
- Managing affairs related to the ISM Fellows Council (comprising academics and expert advisors with extensive knowledge and experience in social policy and development).
- Coordinating ISM’s Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) and Agreements (MoA) with external parties.
